This website is operated by Project Net Zero SA ("PNZ"), Switzerland, which is the data controller (address at the end of this notice). The website is subject to the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, foreign data protection laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The EU recognises that Swiss law provides adequate data protection.
PNZ is committed to keeping your data confidential. This notice explains what personal data we process when you visit our website, why, and how. Terms such as "personal data" and "processing" are defined in Article 4 GDPR.
All communication regarding this privacy notice and your personal data (including requests to exercise your rights) must be sent by post to the address given at the end of this notice.
Cookies and website usage data
PNZ does not use third-party cookies. We only use the cookies strictly necessary for the website to function, which do not require consent. Website usage data is cookie-less, anonymised and under PNZ's full control.
Communication with PNZ
Communication can go both ways: you may contact us, or we may contact you, for example to follow up on your enquiry, to provide information about our services, or in the course of our business relationship.
- Channels: we communicate with our customers and contacts through all appropriate channels, including our website (such as the contact form), email, telephone, video conference and post.
- Data processed: your name, contact details, company, and the content of our exchanges, including notes, call records or messages, depending on the channel used.
- Purposes and legal basis: to handle your enquiry, respond to you and manage our relationship with you. The legal basis is the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, where we reach out on our own initiative, our legitimate interest in conducting our business (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where we rely on your consent (for example for a newsletter), you may withdraw it at any time (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
- Source of data: the data comes from you directly or, where we contact you first, from [publicly available business sources / your employer / events].
- Recipients: your data may be stored in a customer relationship management (CRM) system or comparable tool, and may be shared with service providers acting on our behalf (for example IT, hosting, communication and CRM providers), bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations. We do not sell your data.
- Transfers abroad: where a provider is located outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA, we ensure an adequate level of protection, for example through an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
- Retention: we keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law (for example [x] months after the last contact for enquiries, and statutory periods for contractual and accounting records), then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data and a copy of it
- Have your data rectified or deleted
- Restrict or object to our processing, including at any time to being contacted for information or marketing purposes
- Receive your data in a portable format, where processing is based on contract or consent and carried out by automated means
- Withdraw your consent at any time
If you withdraw your consent, we may still process your data where the law requires or permits it. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
How to exercise your rights
Please send your request by post to our address given at the end of this notice, with a copy of an identity document so that we can verify your identity. We will reply within the legal deadlines.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time to reflect legal requirements or changes to our services. The updated version applies from your next visit.
